Queensland Australia one of the best places to film during COVID
As film and TV shoots are cancelled across the globe due to COVID19, many production companies are looking for overseas partners who can shoot remotely for them during the pandemic.
Queensland, Australia is now one of the best places in the world to shoot during coronavirus lockdown, with almost no new cases over the past couple of months.
Brisbane Production company 18 Degrees has been working with international and interstate agencies and production companies to facilitate remote film and TV production during the restrictions – filming in Brisbane, Gold Coast and across the state.
Director Mel Poole said the company was able to provide remote facilities to work with partners on pre-production, locations, casting, directors and all aspects of production with clients then choosing to either post themselves or post in Queensland.
“Producers of film and commercial content have been hugely affected by the shutdowns world-wide, and we are just so lucky we can provide a extremely low-risk location for filming – helping with all or part of their production,” Poole said.
“We are currently shooting commercials for large brands from the US and even interstate, where the restrictions have prohibited production.”
According to Poole, Queensland offers some of the most diverse and spectacular locations in the world and is an epicentre for film talent both in front of, and behind the camera.
“We have world-class crew and talent here from many backgrounds as well as a vast array of very different locations – so we can endeavour to make your production look like it was shot in your home country.”
“Where can people film during COVID? – Brisbane, Queensland.”
