“Dry” directed by Mel Poole takes out two awards at the Australian Independent Film Festival
Queensland director Mel Poole and her team have won Best Queensland Film and the Audience Award at the 2020 Australian Independent Film Festival.
Written by Colin Gregory, the film tells the story of a bed-wetting boy desperate to go to scout camp, who learns a valuable life lesson from his irascible grandfather
Shoot by Queensland Director of Photography Dan Macarthur, the film stars newcomer Charlie Dunn alongside Queensland actors John Mc Neill and Janelle Bailey.
“Winning the Audience Award always gives you a great sense of recognition that you have resonated with those watching,” Poole said.
