We’re proud to announce that our short film Charlie will be screening this Thursday, 16th October at the Festival des Antipodes – Rencontres Internationales du Cinéma des Antipodes in St-Tropez, France.

The Festival des Antipodes is one of Europe’s leading celebrations of Australasian cinema, curated by Bernard Bories. Each year, it brings together exceptional films that highlight the creativity, diversity, and heart of filmmakers from Australia and New Zealand.

Charlie is inspired by true events – a powerful story about compassion, redemption, and the quiet strength found in human connection. It shines a light on those living on society’s margins and reminds us that empathy can change lives.

Written and Directed by Mel Poole, with Cinematography by award-winning DOP Dan Macarthur, Charlie continues its festival journey across the world as part of 18 Degrees Films’ commitment to stories that move, challenge, and inspire.
